Difference Between DHL Express And DHL Global When you send something through DHL Express it is treated as an express package that has to be delivered fast and by DHL all the way to the recipient's front door or if it is being picked up, then the recipient must sign for it at the DHL Express station or agency office. When you send something through DHL Global (which is cheaper but takes longer) it means that the package is dispatched to the normal post office of the foreign country, and that after one attempted delivery by the post office, the intended recipient has to pick the package up from their nearest post office. For example, if you pay DHL here in Vanuatu to deliver by DHL Global to somewhere in Canada, then DHL will get the parcel or mail to Canada and give it to Canada Post, who in turn will make an attempt to deliver it to the recipient's front door. If this fails, then the intended recipient will be notified by Canadian Post to call and collect it. Essentially, if you need something delivered fast you should send by DHL Express.
